We’re just one week away from our next Beehive Community Dinner on April 18th—and seats are starting to fill up.

Ticket sales close April 16th (or sooner if we sell out).
If you’ve been thinking about coming, now’s the time to grab your spot: 👉 https://simpli.events/e/beehive-BBQ-sandwiches-April-18
Our last dinner sold out—and it was a really special night: new connections, lively conversations, and a warm, welcoming room. We’d love for you to be part of this one.
A Few Updates from The Beehive
It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for our little (but growing!) community initiative:
📰 We’re in the news!
We had a chance to speak with the Peace Arch News, who wrote a wonderful piece about what we’re building.
👉 Read it here: https://peacearchnews.com/2026/04/07/south-surrey-beehive-dinners-aim-to-connect-community/
It’s currently online and may also appear in print soon—which will be perfect timing as we start spreading the word about our May dinner.
We received two grants!
We’re incredibly grateful to have received support from:
The City of White Rock
The BC Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada
These grants help us keep tickets at $10 while we pilot this idea and learn what works. It means a lot to feel this kind of encouragement from our community—thank you!
Why This Matters
The Beehive is still in its early stages, and we’re learning as we go. But one thing has been clear so far: people are really appreciating the chance to connect with neighbours.
Each dinner helps us build something simple but meaningful—a space where people can come together, share a meal, and feel a sense of belonging.
Join Us on April 18
If you’ve been curious about The Beehive, this is a great time to come and experience it.
On the menu: BBQ sandwiches (pulled pork + veggie options), homemade orange poppyseed cake, and a fun Trivia Night.
Come on your own, bring a friend, or come as a group—we’ll take care of the rest.
We hope to see you there.
— The Beehive Team 🐝
